Job summary

Gem Partnership is supporting a client in Seaham to recruit a Supply Chain Apprentice. You will assist the Operations Manager and Supervisor with warehouse duties, data collection and reporting to the Supply Chain team.

The role covers inventory management, order processing, logistics coordination and learning procurement processes, supplier relationships and contract administration while working towards the Supply Chain Warehouse apprenticeship standard over 12 months, with potential permanent

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent, grade C or Level 5 in maths and English.
• Willing to work towards Counterbalance and Bendi FLT licenses.

Responsibilities

• Support in the development of inventory management with the goal to control costs within budget, generate savings, rationalise inventory and maximise the working capital available.
• Log and validate supply chain invoices
• Support day-to-day supply chain operations, including inventory management, order processing, and logistics coordination
• Learn to manage procurement processes, supplier relationships, and contract administration in line with regulations and internal policies
• Gain experience in warehouse operations, transport scheduling, and quality control
