Role: Supply Chain Analyst – Pet Health

Location: Leeds, LS15 8GB (with hybrid working after completion of training)

Salary: Competitive Salary DOE, plus extensive benefits

Contract type: Permanent

Employment type: Full time

Working hours: 37.5 hours p/w (Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00)

The Supply Chain Analyst role is a key position within the Commercial team, focusing on our new Pet business. Responsibilities include buying, purchasing administration, adding NPD, promotional nominations, price changes, and collaborating with manufacturers and wholesalers for ad hoc queries. The ideal candidate will be organized, articulate, confident, and have proven experience in an administrative role.

What you’ll be doing?
  • Daily ordering of products with manufacturers and wholesalers
  • Proactively follow up on purchase orders with Suppliers/Manufacturers
  • Playing a key role in stock management during promotional phases
  • Ensuring ad hoc prices are updated correctly on the system as instructed by the Buyer
  • Assisting with the new line process, ensuring warehouse readiness for NPD
  • Liaising with suppliers on barcode changes, product code changes, and managing ad hoc tasks
  • Working with suppliers on out-of-stocks, delays, and back orders
  • Producing ad hoc reports and gathering information as instructed by the Buyer
  • Prioritizing and managing workload and expectations cross-functionally
  • Collaborating with wholesalers and manufacturers to understand supply issues and restock dates
  • Working with clinical and customer service teams to suggest alternatives for out-of-stock medicines
  • Working closely with the Buying team on order fulfillment processes
Who are we looking for?
  • Extensive experience in a commercial buying or supply chain role, in retail or supplier environments
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Numerate and IT literate, with experience using IT systems
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel at an intermediate level
  • Experience working with complex data and systems to improve supply chain processes
  • Proven ability to analyze data, generate reports, and provide insights for decision-making
  • Experience in planning and implementing supply optimization projects
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in FMCG is preferred
