Supply Chain Analyst

The Supply Chain Analyst (SCA) has broad ranging responsibilities in all aspects of in-house supply chain and is responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day in-house supply chain business results are achieved. This role combines analysis and reporting along with hands-on application within site supply chain and site departments, as well as global supply chain and operations to ensure excellence in the overall performance of the operations. The SCA will own weekly and monthly data preparation and KPI reporting of site in-house supply chain. The SCA will own the process of inventory management for the site with governance through the monthly supply review and MBR processes including slow-moving and obsolete inventory management process.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the site supply chain head in all aspects of day-to-day operations to ensure that the day-to-day supply planning business results are achieved.
  2. Deep understanding of all supply chain activities such as APO/SAP planning processes, inventory management, supply issues management and integrated planning (MRP2).
  3. Liaise with site department heads to gather required information for critical KPIs and corrective actions.
  4. Create monthly supply chain KPI MBR report, preparation for business reviews, analyze gaps vs target as well as define actions in cooperation with supply network planners, production planners and purchasers.
  5. Own inventory management according to MRP2 inventory management guidelines.
  6. Own responsibility for rolling standard inventory management models and best practices related to inventory level control at the production site.
  7. Support the processes of inventory review and their connection with the approved site supply model.
  8. Analyze the processes that affect the projection of inventory value and deal with the design of parameters in the inventory level control process.
  9. Coordinate with other site units, ensuring proper communication and making recommendations for improvement and control of stock levels.
  10. Own responsibility for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing initiatives to improve “healthy inventory” levels and reduce “unhealthy inventory” levels.
  11. Analyze stock depreciation and write-off and identify their occurrence, as well as making proposals to root cause such cases.
  12. Initiate operational activities regarding the delivery of decisions and calculations for write-offs.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Degree or equivalent qualification / experience.
  2. A strong background in supply chain management, inventory control, manufacturing, or materials.
  3. Experienced with supply chain management (SCM) software (APO - preferable), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (SAP - preferable).
  4. Understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts and theories (ideally MRP2 and lean management).
  5. Hands-on experience with logistics, inventory management, and planning.
