Supply Chain Analyst - Hobbycraft Head Office, BH23 6HG

Salary upto £31kdependent on experience - Pension with a 4% contribution, 25 days holiday increasing every year, 25% discount in our stores

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours. Our core business hours are Monday to Friday – 10am to 3pm with a flexible approach to start and finish times

Our hybrid working model is 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home

Overview

The Supply Chain Analyst takes responsibility for managing their division’s performance versus availability KPI’s & Stock Budgets. The analyst is expected to apply a commercial outlook to their decision making, to ensure that company sales are optimised and KPI’s are adhered to.

Strong working relations with key stakeholders should be built to enable the analyst to operate cross functionally and achieve results as part of a team. A proactive and problem-solving approach should always be adopted, alongside a resilient mind-set, to enable to the analyst to manage fast-changing priorities.

KPIs:

  • Ensure that availability targets are met across the division:
  • Ensure that period end and annual stock budget targets are met.
  • Regularly review vendor OTIF (95% target), picking up with vendors to drive resolutions in a timely manner.

Key Accountabilities

Stock

  • Review divisional WSSI weekly to monitor sales versus budget, OTB and forward intake requirements.
  • Ensure accurate forecast data is regularly shared with Suppliers and review Slim 4 on a weekly basis prior to orders being raised; review exceptions monthly and load stores forecasts for new lines.
  • Regularly reviews divisional performance to identify lines with excess stock within the business. Works with the buyer to suggest possible exit solutions; ensure future commitment on the system is identified and action taken where appropriate.
  • Ensure DC and store forecasts are loaded in to Nav in a timely manner for new lines.
  • Monthly review of MOQ Weeks report to identify lines with issues and work with Buying and DI to achieve MOQ reductions, action to drive sales or manage stock out of the business.
  • Ensure new lines are submitted to Order Signing each week, with suitable and relevant information. Check the MOQ weeks cover and buy volume is acceptable and appropriate. Check buy fits in to OTB on WSSI.
  • Update the divisional off system commitment report on a monthly basis and ensure this information is shared with your Buyer.
  • Undertake weekly meeting with Buyer to discuss division performance and risks/opportunities, WSSI etc.
  • Prepare for and lead monthly divisional review meeting to feedback to SCM team on how division is performing and risks/opportunities around KPI’s

Range Reviews

  • Manage the Range Review process from start to finish; ensuring key dates within the CPA are met.
  • Prepare and bring relevant and accurate documentation to the product programme weekly meeting.
  • Manage the stock exit process to ensure the stock exit target is met, whilst maintaining availability.
  • Ensure outbound volume planner is kept up to date with any allocation plans

Promotions & FOS Events

  • Liaise with the Senior Promotional Analyst on divisional promotions
  • Work with the buyer to review FOS suggestions, ensure product and volume is suitable for the offer and location.
  • Manage the stock intake process for FOS events, ensuring key dates are met.
  • Track the sell through of FOS promo special buys to ensure we exit the event cleanly

Store & Supplier Visits

  • Complete regular store visits. Visit top and bottom divisional performance stores to understand the varying requirements.
  • Attend Supplier visits and meetings, if applicable; use the meetings to drive improvements in OTIF and communication.

Ecommerce

  • Understand your division’s Ecommerce performance and look to support improvements in Ecommerceavailability and sales where possible, liaising with the Ecommerce analyst as required.
