Join us as a Supplier Resilience Test Analyst - Resilience is one of the most prominent topics on the global regulatory agenda. As a result, it is a material growth area across the Financial Services market, with expanding career opportunities. Recently, Third Party Supplier Resilience has received increasing scrutiny with heightened regulatory expectations and evolving best practices. We now need to consider the resilience risks posed to Barclays from various disruptions (e.g., Cyber, Tech) across the supply chain.

To be successful as a Supplier Resilience Test Analyst, you should have experience with:

Essential Skills

  • Third-party management experience (procurement, sourcing, assurance), with a strong understanding of vendor management and performance/delivery across the third-party lifecycle
  • Managing complex stakeholder environments (internal and external) and engaging with senior individuals (up to MD) regularly
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills, including identifying challenges through analysis and probing to find root causes

Purpose of the role

To develop, implement, and maintain an effective resilience strategy, operational recovery planning, and incident management framework aligned with industry standards and regulatory expectations, enabling the bank to respond and recover important business services during severe but plausible scenarios, minimizing impact on customers, clients, colleagues, and the wider market.

Accountabilities

  • Socialize and implement the resilience strategy and framework across the firm, ensuring compliance with standards and controls
  • Enhance the resilience, crisis, and incident management frameworks to improve recovery and response capabilities
  • Develop standards for operational recovery planning and security incident management, considering industry practices and emerging threats
  • Oversee improvements in recovery capabilities, including third-party suppliers and infrastructure
  • Communicate the firm’s resilience position through scorecards and dashboards to support investment decisions
  • Conduct regular testing to demonstrate the ability to recover within impact tolerances during severe scenarios
  • Ensure services and products are built resiliently through change management processes
  • Stay abreast of developments in resilience, regulatory policies, and the landscape
  • Identify, respond to, and resolve incidents to mitigate impact
  • Document incidents and lessons learned to support continuous improvement
