Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Procurement team at Harrogate and District NHS FT as a Supplier Relationship Manager.

The post holder will be responsible for the oversight and strategic management of the Trust's extensive supplier portfolio, ensuring that Trust requirements are met and suppliers provide a high level of sustainable value.

They will work closely with Procurement, Finance, and Operational colleagues, demonstrating strong supplier management skills, commercial awareness, and sound financial acumen. Responsibilities include managing contract delivery, KPIs, and legal compliance, as well as addressing issues related to contract performance.

The candidate should be highly motivated, focused, and capable of influencing at all levels, working in partnership with senior clinical and operational staff.

Additionally, the post holder will be the Sustainability and Social Value Lead for Procurement, embedding sustainable principles into procurement practices. This includes considerations such as carbon reduction, environmental impact, sustainable development, modern slavery, supplier diversity, resilience, and other socio-economic factors.
