Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist to enhance our supplier quality performance. You will report to the Senior Supply Chain Development Manager and lead quality improvements, supplier audits, root cause analysis, and corrective actions while coaching suppliers for capability advancement.

Qualifications

  • Background in Supplier Quality Engineering or advanced knowledge as a Supplier Quality Specialist.
  • Experience in conducting supplier audits, root cause analysis, NCR management and implementing corrective actions and quality systems.
  • ISO 9001 Auditor or Lead auditor knowledge.
  • Ability to coach and influence capability.

Responsibilities

  • Support suppliers in resolving quality issues through corrective actions, NCR management, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of supplier quality systems, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct supplier development activities, including assessments, improvement plans, and performance reviews to enhance quality and operational capability.
  • Deliver quality coaching, guidance, and training to suppliers, promoting best practices and building long-term capability and performance improvements.

Supplier Quality Specialist

The appointment of a Supplier Quality Specialist will be a pivotal role at Rolls Royce SMR in order to improve our supplier quality performance. You will be reporting to our Senior Supply Chain Development Manager and your role will look like:

  • Support suppliers in resolving quality issues through corrective actions, NCR management, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of supplier quality systems, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct supplier development activities, including assessments, improvement plans, and performance reviews to enhance quality and operational capability.
  • Deliver quality coaching, guidance, and training to suppliers, promoting best practices and building long-term capability and performance improvements.

We seek an inspiring and tenacious individual who will have had exposure in regulated or safety-critical environments (as you would expect nuclear "know-how" will be of great interest to us, whilst those from defence, aerospace and manufacturing sectors may all have transferable capability).

Location & Ways of Working

This role can be based from our Derby, Manchester or Warrington office. Hybrid working is standard, with regular supplier travel required. Some international travel may also be required depending on supplier activity.

  • A salary between £50,640 and £66,500 depending on experience
