Quality Inspector Composites & Sheet Metal (Isle of Wight, Onsite)
Contract Position Aerospace Manufacturing South Coast Travel
A leading aerospace supplier is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to support on-site inspection activities at a key facility on the Isle of Wight, with occasional travel to other manufacturing sites across the south coast. This is a hands-on, onsite role focused on composite and fabricated components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform product verification and in-process inspections on aerospace parts
• Review and validate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to AS9102 standards
• Assess Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) for non-conformances
• Prepare and present quality performance data and metrics
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supplier quality teams

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Inspection experience in sheet metal and composite manufacturing
• Knowledge of overhead laser layup techniques (highly desirable)
• Proficient in interpreting 2D and 3D drawings and technical documentation
• Familiar with machined/fabricated assemblies, wire looms, and fuel systems
• Competent with digital systems and quality databases
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
