An opportunity has arisen for a Supplier Quality Manager to be responsible for the Supplier Quality Assurance activities in a rapidly expanding environment. You will lead the Supplier Quality function and strategy, working closely with Procurement to develop a supply chain that delivers conforming products on time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the supplier Quality Assurance function.
  • Developing and executing process audit and surveillance plans, PPAP activities, etc., to meet quality and schedule requirements.
  • Supporting the creation of an integrated, best-in-class supply chain.
  • Identifying potential partners and critical suppliers.
  • Implementing supplier assessment and onboarding processes.
  • Managing non-conforming product incidents, root cause analysis, and problem resolution using techniques like 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa.
  • Ensuring timely resolution of supplier concerns and corrective actions.
  • Developing supplier performance monitoring systems for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with procurement and suppliers to improve performance.
  • Supporting policy and process development for supplier onboarding and supply chain refinement.
  • Driving quality reviews and learning activities to prevent repeat issues.
  • Acting as the day-to-day contact for Supplier Quality and the SQA team.
  • Supporting programme and technical reviews internally and with customers.
  • Defining and mitigating risks related to supplied materials and the supply chain.

You’ll have:

  • A formal engineering qualification (e.g., HNC/D, Degree, apprenticeship) with proven Supplier Quality experience, preferably in automotive, aerospace, or similar industries. Experience with vehicle electrification is advantageous.
  • ISO9001 internal auditor qualification; ISO/TS16949 experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, IMDS.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels; ability to convey complex ideas concisely; capable of working under strict deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to build teams, develop personnel, and drive positive change within Supplier Quality.
