A leading automotive manufacturing company is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure supplier quality and compliance. This role involves leading corrective actions, monitoring supplier performance, and conducting audits. Job Description
A leading automotive manufacturing company that specializes in producing high performance vehicles is currently looking to hire a Supplier Quality Engineer. The successful candidate will ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of suppliers and their products. The Supplier Quality Engineer will: Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for supplier quality issues (8D, Ishikawa, etc.). Monitor supplier KPIs and implement performance improvement initiatives.
Support initial sample inspection, incoming quality control, and documentation verification. Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and onboarding to ensure capability, quality, and compliance. Develop and maintain supply chain quality standards and processes (APQP, PPAP, FAIRs, etc.).
The Supplier Quality Engineer will have: Degree qualification or relevant qualification (Formal auditor training or quality certifications (e.g. Lead Auditor, Six Sigma) Knowledge of quality systems and methodologies (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, PPAP-starting to look at this specifically in Jan 2026, APQP, FMEA, FAIR). Supplier quality experience - ideally start up, SME & small OEM.
