Job description

Supplier Quality Engineer

Remote Working

12 Month Contract

Description:

Due to exponential growth within the category, a Supplier Quality Engineer is required. This is a 100% remote role, and candidates can be based anywhere in the UK.

Initial assignment duration is 12 months, with the possibility of a 12-month extension after evaluation.

Certain Advantage is working with a worldwide known company specializing in diesel and alternative fuel engines, generators, and related components and technology.

Working in a category-specific team, the contractor will manage APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities with EMEA suppliers; UK/European travel will be required. Contractors need a valid passport or visa allowing travel to and from mainland Europe.

Must Haves:

  • Understanding of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
  • Exposure to AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group)
  • Experience with Supplier Quality Core Tools
  • Strong APQP skills
  • Supplier maintenance experience
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills

Applicants should be flexible, self-starting, and capable of managing their workload independently. A collaborative mindset is essential for managing internal stakeholders from peers to senior leadership.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Either a college, university, or equivalent degree, or relevant industry experience will be considered in the absence of formal qualifications. Relevant degrees include H/ONC, HND in Engineering or related technical/scientific subjects.
