Supplier Quality Engineering – Shape the Future of Aerospace and Defence Manufacturing
Are you a hands-on Supplier Quality Engineer with deep aerospace or defence manufacturing experience? Ready to play a pivotal role ensuring the highest quality standards across a dynamic UK-wide supply chain?
We’re looking for a motivated SQE to own supplier quality management—from audits and supplier development to driving continuous improvement in a highly regulated environment. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge defence systems that protect lives and advance national security.
What You’ll Do:
Lead supplier quality assurance processes and audits across the UK (expect around 60% travel)
Collaborate with procurement, production, and engineering teams to uphold rigorous quality standards
Manage supplier evaluations, audits, and corrective actions in line with AS9100, AS9102 and other relevant Defence standards
Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers to continuously elevate quality performance
Track, analyse, and report on supplier quality metrics to drive measurable improvements
What We’re Looking For:
5–7 years’ experience in Supplier Quality Engineering within aerospace or MOD/defence manufacturing
Strong knowledge of quality systems and certifications including ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102, Six Sigma preferred
Proven experience managing supplier audits and working within defence regulatory frameworks
Proficient with quality tools and software and able to interpret 3D models and technical documents
Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC) and right to work in the UK
