Vehicle NVH is a key technical function within the product creation process, leading engineering activities from initial concept through to customer delivery. Within this department, you will help define the unique character of our vehicles by delivering the levels of refinement required to meet customer expectations across all Jaguar and Land Rover programmes. This work is fundamental to creating products that delight our customers and differentiate us from the competition.
The Attributes Refinement Group operates across the full vehicle lifecycle, incorporating Prevention, Launch, and In‑Service Performance. The primary focus areas include Squeak & Rattle (S&R) and Water and Air Ingress across the full vehicle portfolio. The team engages from the earliest phases of a vehicle programme and works collaboratively across Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality. It is responsible for achieving attribute targets, conducting complete‑vehicle testing, identifying issues, and driving robust resolutions.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing customer satisfaction by ensuring vehicles are free from abnormal noises (S&R) and water leaks. Your key responsibilities include gathering and analysing facts to clearly define problems and applying strong negotiation and influencing skills to drive effective resolution using 8D and other industry‑standard quality tools. The team manages issues originating internally—through Manufacturing, Fleet, Durability, and Robustness testing—as well as externally through Warranty data and IQS surveys.
