Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Uxbridge

Contract: 6 months

We are urgently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to work for a leading manufacturing organization near Uxbridge. The successful candidate will manage and monitor the performance of all suppliers, ensuring compliance with drawings and product specifications to deliver quality to customers.

Your responsibilities will include developing and managing supplier performance data, addressing non-conformities, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing preventative measures. You will work closely with suppliers to ensure corrective actions and processes are in place to prevent recurring issues.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify gaps and update procedures related to supplier quality to reflect best practices.
• Develop and promote a 'Right First Time' quality culture with suppliers.
• Support and guide the implementation of root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with customers on training and developing a quality-focused culture.
• Conduct audits on products and processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and escalate product quality issues.
• Travel to customer sites as required.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Understanding of root cause analysis and related methodologies.

Must-have experience:

• Strong understanding of root cause analysis and corrective actions within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a quality function within manufacturing.
• Data-driven with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Motivational skills and ability to handle pressure.
• Ownership of issues and proactive approach.

Preferred experience:

• Lean and continuous improvement experience.
• Auditor qualifications.
• Supervisory or managerial experience.
