Qualifications

  • Strong skills in root cause analysis and leading corrective action teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, Minitab, GD&T, and metrology tools.
  • Background with electronic components, PCBAs, or batteries preferred.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional liaison skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the process for non-conforming material, coordinating inputs from design, manufacturing, and supply chain.
  • Conduct audits, verify corrective actions, and support supplier approval.
  • Coach suppliers on PFMEA/Control Plan activity and drive ongoing quality improvements.
  • Assist with first article inspections and review incoming inspection data.
  • Investigate part quality complaints and support ISO 9001:2015 audits.
  • Assess and onboard new suppliers, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Promote company safety policies and PPE requirements.

This is an opportunity to join a leading defence and maritime engineering organisation, recognised for delivering advanced systems that operate in some of the worlds most challenging environments. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of materials and components across the supply chain, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams.

Responsibilities
  • Non-Conformance Management Lead the process for non-conforming material, coordinating inputs from design, manufacturing, and supply chain.
  • Supplier Audits & Approvals Conduct audits, verify corrective actions, and support supplier approval, disapproval, or scope changes.
  • Continuous Improvement Coach suppliers on PFMEA/Control Plan activity and drive ongoing quality improvements.
  • Inspection & Compliance Assist with first article inspections, configuration audits, and review incoming inspection data.
  • Customer & Regulatory Support Investigate part quality complaints, support ISO 9001:2015 audits, and manage customer/DCMA visits.
  • Supplier Evaluation Assess and onboard new suppliers, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Health & Safety Follow and promote company safety policies and PPE requirements.
