Job summary

Central Employment is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Cramlington to support and develop supplier quality across a regulated microelectronics supply chain serving aerospace, defence and medical sectors. You will work with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and Quality teams to ensure supplier quality, reliability and delivery with continuous improvement focus.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supplier quality engineering or similar in high‑reliability manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of supplier audits, NCRs and corrective action.
  • Familiarity with electronics, microelectronics, PCB assembly or related technologies.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills with data‑driven improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary interface between the business and external suppliers for quality.
  • Develop and monitor supplier quality performance and delivery metrics.
  • Lead supplier audits, assessments and process reviews for compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support NPI with supplier quality input and capability assessment.

An established and growing advanced manufacturing organisation is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support and develop supplier quality performance across a highly regulated microelectronics supply chain serving aerospace, defence and medical sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with experience in supplier management, continuous improvement and high-reliability manufacturing environments to join a business investing heavily in its people, products and manufacturing capabilities.

Role

Working closely with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and Quality teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring suppliers consistently meet demanding quality, reliability, compliance and delivery requirements. The role will focus on supplier development, quality assurance, non-conformance management and continuous improvement across a complex supply chain supporting advanced electronic assemblies and components.

Supplier Quality Management

Qualifications
