CORIN LIMITED in Cirencester seeks an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure supplied parts meet manufacturing specs and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive defect prevention, CAPA, and continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.

The role emphasizes supplier audits, eQMS management, CAPA closure, and supporting medical device compliance (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, GMP).

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in engineering/science.
• 5+ years in a Quality Engineering role in manufacturing/mechanical env.
• Experience in supplier quality management and medical devices.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, GMP and CAPA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers to implement defect prevention and continuous improvement.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions to minimise disruption.
• Manage supplier non-conformances through eQMS and CAPA systems.
• Provide technical support to suppliers ensuring customer-specific requirements.
• Drive supplier development initiatives and support NPI ensuring process robustness.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supplier Quality Engineer based in Cirencester to play a key role in ensuring that products supplied to our business consistently meet manufacturing specifications, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a quality-focused professional who is passionate about supplier development, continuous improvement, and driving excellence throughout the supply chain. Working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams, you will help ensure the highest levels of product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will:

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement best practices focused on defect prevention, waste reduction, variation control, and continuous improvement.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions to minimise production disruption caused by supplier quality issues.
• Manage and progress supplier non-conformances through the Electronic Quality Management System (eQMS).
• Provide technical support to suppliers and ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements.
• Ensure supplied products consistently meet quality standards while minimising quality costs and maximising customer satisfaction.
• Drive supplier development initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.
• Support new product introductions, ensuring product and process robustness while developing supplier capability.
• Manage multiple projects and quality improvement activities, including complex assignments that directly impact business performance.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure parts and materials meet Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery requirements.
• Conduct regular Supplier Quality Review Meetings and present performance reports to senior management.
• Develop, maintain, and report supplier performance metrics and rating systems.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure supplier processes meet company requirements.
• Support compliance with ISO 13485 Quality Management System requirements, FDA 21 CFR Part 820 regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
• Ensure Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities are completed within agreed timelines and in accordance with company procedures and global objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quality Engineering role within a mechanical engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in supplier quality management and supplier development within Medical Devices
• Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, GMP, and CAPA processes.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external suppliers.
