What will I be doing?

  1. Ensure the quality of items and services purchased and/or supplied & manage any discrepancies in delivered materials.
  2. Manage the supplier relationship for quality aspects, in order to promote continuous and preventive improvement among suppliers.
  3. Manage effectively any quality events originating from suppliers by minimising their QCD impacts for Safran Nacelles.
  4. Identify & escalate any risks or concerns in relation to product or people safety both internally and within the supply chain, using the company tools & processes.
  5. Actively participate in the continuous improvement process within the department and as an interface with other internal departments & Safran sites.
  6. Plan and carry out monitoring actions at suppliers including annual evaluations, audits & governance reviews.
  7. Manage the processing of system, process and product NCR's linked to suppliers until they are resolved in order to minimise QCD impacts and avoid any production line stop, including:
    1. Assessing the relevance of the root cause and suitability of proposed corrective actions.
    2. Ensuring the effective implementation of actions at the suppliers.
    3. Analysing NCR's & request non-quality eradication plans with suppliers.
    4. Provide the elements to enable non-quality costs to be recovered from suppliers, in particular agreeing the shared vision with the supplier on the responsibility for NCR's observed.
    5. Participation in supplier performance reviews as required.
    6. Collate the Quality view for suppliers performance.
    7. Promote & identify areas for improvement among suppliers and ensure their implementation.
    8. Identify and carry out the necessary training among suppliers.

What you need from me?
  1. You are known for your autonomy, rigour and ability to think on your feet, and you have good interpersonal skills.
  2. Strong team player capabilities and happy to work within a team effectively, knowing when to rely on them for support and when to use other skills appropriately.
  3. Strong planning & organisational skills in order to plan your time & workload effectively, manage projects and multiple interfaces.
  4. You are familiar and comfortable using IT tools eg MS Office, databases, etc.
  5. You are proactive and are keen to take on new challenges.
  6. Travel within the Safran Group and to suppliers will be required.
  7. Knowledge / experience of auditing would be preferred.
