Job Description:

Role Overview

This is an exciting new opportunity to work with the leading producer of automotive testing solutions to clients worldwide. You will be working alongside our highly skilled teams driving quality & business improvements whilst supporting the development of a supplier quality assurance and inwards inspection process with quality, engineering, and procurement teams.

The key focus areas of the role is to drive improved supplier quality into our business, embed robust corrective action and preventative measures, and ensure internal failures are captured, reported and improvement opportunities sought to increase quality and efficiency.

What will you be doing?

  1. Support maintenance and improvement of the QMS.
  2. Participate in the creation of supplier quality assurance system.
  3. Work with the supply chain and procurement to resolve supplier quality issues.
  4. Perform internal and supplier audits, ensuring NCRs are resolved in a timely manner.
  5. Perform or oversight of test verification and / or first article inspection at suppliers. Where appropriate this will include Factory Acceptance Testing.
  6. Performing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and Inwards Inspections as required.
  7. Writing quality plans as required for specific projects and manufacturing.

What are we looking for?

  1. Experience of performing supplier and internal audits, and working knowledge of ISO9001
  2. Experience in dealing with and managing supplier quality concerns.
  3. Experience of leading problem solving workshops with multifunctional teams
  4. Trained in Lean & Six Sigma to Green Belt level with experience of successful improvements deployed.
  5. Experience working with APQP elements such as Control Plans, PFMEA & DFMEA.
  6. Have an engineering background, or worked within engineering company previously.
  7. Ability to read mechanical and / or electrical diagrams.
