Job description

Expleo is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality & Development Engineer to join our client's state-of-the-art facility, specialising in high-performance road vehicles. These contract positions, based in Surrey and inside IR35, provide an exciting opportunity to work alongside a skilled team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive optimal profitability outcomes.
2. Lead supplier and part risk assessments, and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
3. Report supplier progress to Purchasing and SQA Program teams, including updates on open issues, PPAP part status, and delivery forecasts.
4. Track and manage PPAP part approvals in line with delivery plans.
5. Oversee the Non-PPAP part concession process, ensuring the 'Plan for Every Part' is established to support builds.
6. Deliver quality and capacity verification in line with targets.
7. Drive the resolution of major open issues, engaging Supplier Senior Management in the process.
8. Develop and implement improvement strategies with suppliers.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

1. Experience as a supplier quality engineer, with familiarity in PPAP, 8D, trials, and capacity.
2. Extrusion experience is beneficial but not essential.
3. Background in supplier quality engineering, ideally with extrusion or rubber manufacturing.
4. Automotive industry experience is a plus.
