Supplier Materials Quality Engineer - Team Leader, Gloucester

This role involves leading a Materials Supplier Quality Assurance team within the aerospace sector. The successful candidate will develop and audit raw material suppliers, support global operations, and ensure supplier quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead, develop, and mentor the SQA team.
2. Support global supplier development and auditing.
3. Collaborate with laboratory and validation teams to qualify new materials.
4. Implement and oversee a rolling audit plan for suppliers.
5. Act as site focal point for material issues and initiatives.
6. Analyze material data to monitor trends and improve supplier performance.
7. Apply root cause analysis to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions.
8. Train suppliers in quality tools and methodologies.
9. Travel internationally for qualification and auditing activities.

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree or HNC in a relevant technical discipline.
• Knowledge of materials manufacturing, forging, and casting.
• Certified Lead Auditor or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail, proactive, and independent working style.
• Proficiency in quality standards, lean tools, and problem-solving.
• Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel internationally.
