Division – Data, Technology & Innovation

Department - Technology Resilience

Salary - National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £57,200 to £93,000 and London £62,900 to £102,100 per annum (salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

What will you be doing?

Technology provides the IT and change services for the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We are passionate about delivering value through a diverse and collaborative approach and we aim to be a key influencer at the heart of the global RegTech and FinTech revolutions driving the digital economy.

The Supplier Management team oversees relationships with Technology’s most critical suppliers, mitigating risk and ensuring robust governance is in place, while also offering advice and support to stakeholders. You will:

  • Provide strategic supplier management across Technology, including governance, risk and issue management, financial tracking and coaching to the team

  • Support complex, high-profile supplier engagements and act as a key escalation point

  • Develop and implement robust supplier management processes to deliver efficiency, reduce risk, encourage innovation and strengthen supplier resilience

  • Support Procurement in contract negotiations, renewals and change management, advising senior management on supplier strategy, planning and risk exposure

  • Monitor service levels and performance, resolve disputes and cultivate collaborative relationships to ensure value for money and maintain the FCA’s position as a customer of choice

Which skills are required?

Minimum

  • Experience managing complex suppliers, focusing on performance, governance and strategic engagement

  • Experience analysing multiple data sources and historical information to support informed decision-making

  • Experience with outsourced contracts, demonstrating strong commercial acumen, awareness and market knowledge

Essential

  • Experience steering teams to deliver supplier management services, including mediation, dispute resolution, contract development and administration

  • Experience working in large, standards-based corporate environments with tight deadlines and familiarity with RACI-type deliverables frameworks

  • Able to work with stakeholders to support Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives, with strong influencing and negotiating skills
