Job Description
Responsible for improving the delivery performance of selected suppliers through on-site management. Provides tracking progress and communicates status to the Nashville factory supply chain and operations personnel. Works with supplier to identify areas for improvement to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work on site at suppliers’ factories in the UK, Poland, and India as required.
• Identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with suppliers to optimize quality, delivery and cost by implementing process change and performance tracking mechanisms.
• Onboard new suppliers and quality assure using internal processes.
• Implement supply chain improvement initiatives.
• Analyse supply chain data and performance.
• Track and report status on part shortages.
• Communicate and manage delivery priorities while on site with supplier.
• Work with supplier to eliminate issues causing late deliveries.
• Work with supplier to ensure parts are shipped on time.
• Communicate delivery status to Nashville supply chain and operations team.

Requirements
• 5-7 years of experience in process/quality improvement, sourcing, and/or engineering
• College degree or equivalent work experience
• 50% travel to suppliers’ sites
• Strong team player with the ability to direct, delegate and influence across a matrixed organization
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle demanding situations calmly and efficiently
• Manufacturing experience with machining, forming, and processing
• Experience of working in Airbus Supply Chain an advantage
