Are you passionate about food safety and driving high standards in supply chain compliance? At Natures Way Foods, we’re looking for a Supplier Assurance Manager to lead our supplier assurance and specifications team and ensure our products meet the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the food safety and compliance strategy, ensuring consistently safe, legal, and high-quality products across the supply base
  • Oversee all aspects of supplier assurance and specifications, including food safety, due diligence, legal compliance (e.g. pesticide MRL, raw micro), and ethical standards
  • Manage the implementation and internal auditing of the NWF compliance standard across all sites, driving best practices and continuous improvement
  • Build and lead a high-performing supplier assurance and specifications team, promoting cross-functional collaboration, succession planning, and a culture of excellence
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance, including investigation of out-of-spec issues and communication of key food safety and compliance KPIs across the business
  • Stay up to date with industry standards and legislative developments, ensuring timely communication and integration into company practices
  • Deputise for the Head of Technical in customer meetings, third-party committees, and industry forums
  • Foster strong working relationships with executive and senior management teams to ensure alignment on food safety and compliance priorities
  • Ensure a safe working environment for the team through risk assessments, training, and ongoing performance management

You will have

  • Extensive experience in auditing, ideally as a certified Lead Auditor, with a strong technical background in FMCG and perishable food products
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and pesticide legislation, HACCP, and advanced food hygiene standards
  • Demonstrated success working with major retailers and foodservice customers across a range of food categories including fresh produce
  • Solid understanding of multi-site operations and the ability to drive compliance and consistency across locations
  • Strong people leadership and team development skills with proven experience managing high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels of the business
  • A degree or equivalent in food technology or a related discipline is desirable
