Job summary

Babcock is recruiting a Supplier at RAF Wyton, near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, to support day-to-day MoD stores movement and logistics. The role is hands-on, onsite, 39 hours per week, and requires accuracy, teamwork and regulatory compliance.

You will handle receipt, packaging and despatch, check deliveries, document discrepancies and use LogIS to underpin daily operations. A valid UK driving licence and ability to obtain BPSS/SC clearance are essential.

Supporting critical aviation logistics at RAF Wyton

Working within our Aviation business, you’ll join a dedicated Supply team supporting Receipts and Despatch (R&D) and Forward Delivery operations across the HADES logistics environment. Your work will directly enable UK defence and aviation operations by ensuring equipment and materials are handled safely, accurately, and on time.

The role

As a Supplier, you'll support the day-to-day movement of MoD stores and equipment on site. This is a hands-on, practical role where accuracy, teamwork, and compliance are essential to keeping operations running smoothly.

Day-to-day, you'll be:

• Managing the receipt, packaging, and despatch of MoD stores and equipment in line with current regulations and policy
• Processing supplier deliveries, checking documentation, and reporting discrepancies
• Using LogIS systems accurately to support daily logistics and supply activity
• Preparing and documenting dangerous goods for air and road transport in full regulatory compliance
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver safe, timely R&D and Forward Delivery outputs.

This is a full-time, onsite role based at RAF Wyton, working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Essential experience of the Supplier:

• Experience working in a supply chain or logistics environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors throughout the year.

Qualifications for the Supplier:

Full, current UK driving licence.
