The Role
As a Supervisory Analyst in Jarden’s Research team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely publication of our Equities and Macro Research analysis at the highest quality standards. Working with a senior SA, you will use your experience to apply in-house standards and regulatory guidelines across a range of innovative research products. Being involved in many stages of research production means you will enjoy a wide range of responsibilities and working autonomously when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and approve Equities and Macro Research reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
The timely release of research publications to clients and internal stakeholders while ensuring they meet internal quality standards.
Interpret and apply regulatory guidelines to research reports and communications.
Maintain knowledge of industry regulations and update internal policies as necessary.
Identify opportunities to streamline research production processes while maintaining high standards of quality.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address inquiries related to research methodology, compliance issues, and report content.
Monitor industry trends and developments to provide insights on potential impacts on research methodologies or compliance requirements.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with research production and dissemination processes.
About You
You will possess the ability to work autonomously and exercise sound judgment in decision-making, particularly in determining when to escalate issues. You are a critical thinker who has the confidence to question the status quo and enjoy working pro-actively within a dynamic, high-pressured environment. You have the ability to build strong relationships across the research and sales team as well as with clients.
In addition, you have:
An understanding of the financial services / banking sector, with either direct industry experience or exposure through related roles in equity research, accounting firms or corporate finance being highly regarded
In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines relevant to equity and macro research
Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling skills coupled with a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles
Expertise in corporate finance valuation methodologies and an understanding of equity market valuation metrics
A high degree of attention to detail and well-developed report writing skills with the ability to distil in-depth analysis in a clear and concise manner
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling the articulation of complex ideas clearly and succinctly
A strong academic foundation / relevant tertiary qualification in Economics, Finance or related fields. Postgraduate qualifications such as CFA, CA / CPA will be highly regarded.
