Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting for an experienced Mains-Laying Supervisor to support a busy water infrastructure programme across North London.

The role oversees approx three operational teams, coordinating daily site activities and resources, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme. This is a long-term contract opportunity with strong exposure to major utilities projects.

Supervisor - Water Mains Laying

Location: North London

Rate: £250-£300 per day, dependend on experience.

Contract Type: Contract, CIS

Carrington West is recruiting for experienced Mains-Laying Supervisors to support a busy water infrastructure programme across North London.

The successful Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing approximately three operational teams, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

The Role

Responsibilities will include:

• Supervising approximately three mains-laying teams
• Coordinating daily site activities and resources
• Monitoring progress against programme
• Ensuring works are completed safely and to the required quality standards
• Conducting site briefings and monitoring safe working practices
• Supporting the Area Manager / Site Agent with operational delivery
• Resolving day-to-day site issues
• Coordinating with site teams, subcontractors and management

About You

Previous water mains-laying experience is preferred. Candidates from a gas mains-laying background will also be considered where they have relevant utility construction and team supervision experience.

You should have:

• Water or gas mains-laying experience
• Previous supervisory experience within utilities or infrastructure
• Experience managing multiple operational teams
• Strong health and safety awareness
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage a busy workload across multiple sites
