Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting an experienced Area Manager / Site Agent to support a busy mains-laying programme across South London. You will oversee Supervisors and multiple operational teams, delivering day-to-day mains-laying works and coordinating labour, resources and site activities.

The role requires strong leadership, health and safety knowledge, and proven experience managing site teams on water mains projects.

Qualifications

• Water mains-laying experience preferred.
• Site Agent or Area Manager level experience.

Area Manager / Site Agent - Water Mains Laying

Location: South London

Rate: £350-£400 per day depended on experience.

Contract Type: Contract, CIS

Carrington West is recruiting for an experienced Area Manager / Site Agent to support a busy mains-laying programme across South London.

The successful candidate will oversee Supervisors and multiple operational teams, taking responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of mains-laying works across the area.

The Role

• Managing Supervisors and multiple site teams
• Overseeing water mains-laying works
• Planning and coordinating labour, resources and site activities
• Monitoring programme and progress
• Maintaining high health, safety and quality standards
• Managing subcontractors and operational issues
• Liaising with clients and internal teams
• Supporting the wider management team with programme delivery

About You

Previous water mains-laying experience would be ideal. Candidates with a strong background in gas mains laying will also be considered.

You should have:

• Water or gas mains-laying experience
• Site Agent, Area Manager or similar management experience
• Experience overseeing Supervisors and multiple operational teams
• Strong understanding of site health and safety
• Good programme and resource management skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills

This is a long-term contract opportunity on a busy programme of works.
