Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Scotland is looking for a Supervisor to assist in managing an efficient transport service. The ideal candidate should hold a valid licence to drive 7.5t vehicles and ensure compliance with transport regulations. This role involves supervising drivers and ensuring adherence to operational guidelines. This is a full-time role with shifts generally from Friday to Monday.

Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

  • Post: Supervisor
  • Hours: 37 hours
  • Shift Pattern: Friday to Monday 7am to 3pm.

The main purpose of the role is to assist the Transport Manager and Senior Supervisor in the provision and management of an efficient and effective transport service within set budgets.

Ensuring Trust policies and guidelines are adhered to, alongside road transport regulations. You will be directly responsible for the supervision of HGV and Non-HGV Drivers on a daily basis.

Shifts are generally 7.5 hour days but driver may be asked to stay later to cover runs due to annual leave/sickness

Supervisor to hold a valid licence to drive 7.5t vehicles, Category C, CPC required and Tachograph complaint.
