FCB Coffee is the fastest-growing speciality coffee company in the travel sector. Currently with ten sites, we are becoming the go-to destination for speciality coffee. We inspire our teams with dedicated training and attention to detail.
The main purpose of the role is to support your Manager in daily operations such as staffing, financial performance, stock levels, and deliveries. This role may require working beyond contracted hours, including evenings and weekends.
This is a hands-on role, with the supervisor leading in customer service, food preparation, barista tasks, and maintaining high standards through cleaning procedures.
As a store supervisor, you are the Store Manager’s right-hand person, responsible for running the store in their absence and possibly being next in line.
Responsibilities:
Sales:
- Focus on sales during shifts, with clear goals and targets.
- Deploy team effectively with clear instructions.
- Maintain displays, ensuring they are full, straight, and labeled.
- Understand daily and weekly targets, and adjust order levels accordingly.
- Complete and send weekly business reviews in the manager's absence.
Standards:
- Manage daily shop operations, including opening and closing on time.
- Lead shifts, ensuring deployment, restocking, presentation, speed, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct stock checks and place orders to prevent shortages.
- Complete all daily and weekly paperwork accurately.
- Ensure team members are correctly signed in and have the proper station ID.
- Adhere to Brand Standards to deliver the correct customer experience.
- Report maintenance issues to relevant managers.
- Handle T&A processes in the manager's absence, ensuring accurate clocking in/out.
- Troubleshoot technical and mechanical issues as needed.
- Communicate with head office when the manager is absent.
Service:
- Prioritize customer satisfaction with quick, friendly service.
- Keep the shop floor clean and professional at all times.
- Ensure all products, including Filter Coffee and Guest Roast, are available throughout the day.
- Provide world-class customer service and resolve complaints promptly.
People:
- Provide corrective coaching face-to-face.
- Address immediate team issues as the first contact.
- Conduct monthly check-ins for feedback, support, and training.
- Deliver training on latte art, brewing methods, and coffee machine maintenance.
- Offer flexible hours and support career progression, with 90% of senior roles filled internally.
