Job description

Overview

Salary: £14.35 / hour

Hours: 11 hours per day or 38.5 hours per week

Shift pattern: 7 pm to 7 am, 4 on / 4 off

Contract: Fixed Term

Responsibilities

• Work within a warehouse environment as part of the cleaning and waste team.
• Supervise/operate specific equipment, cleaning practices and use of chemicals to the correct operational guidelines.
• Carry out daily and weekly checks of all machinery and report faults to the Site Manager.
• Ensure Health & Safety is understood and adhered to; liaise with the Site Manager on shift operation.
• Help monitor the waste produced using weekly checklists and monitoring procedures.
• Review all equipment, verify they are kept clean and that equipment and materials are left secured when not in use.
• Undertake cleaning and ad-hoc duties according to business needs; deal with customer complaints.
• Attend appropriate training sessions and ensure awareness of the Company/Client statutory fire and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisor experience.

• Ability to work from own initiative.
• Good awareness of Health and Safety legislation.
• Communicative English is essential; an English language assessment may be required.
