Job description

As a key part of our MRO operations, the Supervisor will lead and manage a diverse team to facilitate the flow of work and tactical delivery of parts through processes (from Launch to Distribution Centre Delivery) in support of production plans.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Gate 1 and Gate 2 teams, taking accountability for and electing & supervising dedicated focals in your area to control key processes including 5S, Calibration, Maintenance, Health & Safety, Tooling and GPI's.
  • Ensure effective people management and support performance & operational management, training, time and behaviours.
  • Ensure that work procedures and SOPs are adhered to at all times.
  • Take accountability for Continuous Improvement initiatives including process mapping, Kaizen events, 5S and other improvement activities.
  • Champion adherence to the Airworthiness regulations and ensure compliance via robust and accurate work procedure reviews.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience of leading & managing a high performing team (ideally within an engineering environment).
  • A working knowledge of lean principles to Green Belt level, and the ability to deploy these effectively to leverage continuous improvement within a defined area of control.
  • The ability to adopt an efficient hands‑on approach as appropriate.
  • Capable of interpreting and communicating KPIs and developing appropriate actions.
  • Familiarity with 8D and QRQC tools would be advantageous.
