Job Role: Mechanical Supervisor (Plumbing Supervisor)

Location: HMP Pentonville (N7)

Salarry: £39, to £41, (DOE) with an additional 5% basic salary for shift and weekend work

Contract: Full Time - Perm

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at HMP Pentonville, a category B male prison. Join a team that works Monday to Sunday as a supportive family, working together to create a safe environment. HMP Pentonville operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of staff to keep it functioning. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will help ensure the smooth and safe operation, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.

The Mechanical Supervisor will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference. • Five years’ experience as a plumber or equivalent
• Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements
• Experience with commercial or industrial heating, water, or building services systems
• Experience supervising staff
• Qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and Heating), and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
• Up-to-date First Aid at Work - Desirable
• Relevant professional qualifications (facilities management/project management) - Desirable
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organizational, time management, and people skills
