Job Role: Mechanical Supervisor

Location: HMP Bure - Jaguar Drive, Badersfield, Norwich, Norfolk, NR10 5GB

Salary: £45,303.07 with 5% shift allowance

Contract: Full-time/Perm

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at HMP Bure, a Category C & Adult/Male prison.

HMP Bure operates like a self-contained town, requiring hundreds of staff to keep it functioning. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, we are committed to ensuring smooth and safe operations, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a secure environment.

We are a Ministry Of Justice business providing critical, time-bound services to HMPPS, seeking a Mechanical Supervisor with:

1. Five years' experience as a plumber or equivalent
2. Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements
3. Experience with commercial or industrial heating, water, or building services systems
4. Experience supervising staff
5. Plumber qualified to C&G 6035, C&G 6189, and NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
6. Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification (desirable)
7. Relevant professional qualifications (facilities management/project management) (desirable)
8. Good Health & Safety knowledge
9. Strong organizational, time management, and people skills
