Mechanical Supervisor
Location: HMP Coldingley, Shaftesbury Rd, Bisley, Woking GU24 9EX
Salary: £47,045.49 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full time, 39 hours per week

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at HMP Coldingley, a category C adult male prison. Join a supportive team working Monday to Friday to create a safe and nurturing environment.

HMP Coldingley operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of staff to keep it functioning. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, your work impacts prisoners, staff, visitors, families, and the wider community.

Team and Culture

You will work alongside experienced colleagues such as Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment.

  • Qualifications and experience include:
  • Fully qualified tradesperson to NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline, plumbing, or equivalent (Essential).
  • Desirable qualifications include:
  • Two years' experience as a plumber or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Water supply regulation and Legionella L8 requirements.
  • Experience with commercial or industrial heating and water systems.
  • Knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations.
  • Good health and safety knowledge, including unvented water heater vessel course G3 and L8 awareness training (preferred).
