Job summary

Upham Inns is seeking a Front of House Team Leader to drive guest service across our southern pubs. You will lead, coach and motivate the front-of-house team, brief staff on products and promotions, and support promotional activities to upsell.

The role requires a passion for hospitality, excellent communication, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends. Join a growing pub group with development opportunities and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Have a proven track record of restaurant experience.
• Be at Least 18 years of age due to licensing laws.
• You'll be a great communicator.
• You'll have great decision-making skills.
• You should be confident.
• You'll need to be organised.
• General knowledge of food, wine and beer.
• Have the Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for team work, leading and motivating team members
• Hold pre session briefings as and when appropriate and make sure the team are fully briefed and trained on any new amended food and drink products, and any promotional activity
• Assist in implementing and driving promotional activities
• Support and coach team members to upsell
• Deal with any issues that arise during each shift promptly and professionally, seeking advice from the general manager where necessary
• Lead by example to ensure that the highest possible levels of customer service are delivered by team members at all times
• Liaise with other departments Including kitchen and door teams in the business to ensure every customer experiences a consistent level of service
• Assist the General and Assistant Managers as and when necessary to make the business run effectively and efficiently.
• Participating in ongoing training and development
• Must have an eagerness to take advantage of new opportunities
