Qualifications

Job Role: Supervisor - Electrical

Location: HMP Swaleside

Salary: £41,818.21

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time 39hrs per week

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Supervisor to join our team at HMP Swaleside, a CATEGORY B & Adult Male prison. Join a supportive team working Monday to Friday/Sunday to create a safe and nurturing environment.

HMP Swaleside operates like a self-contained town, requiring hundreds of staff to keep it functioning. Our Facilities Maintenance Team is committed to ensuring smooth and safe operations, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, families, and the community.

As an Electrical Supervisor, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a secure environment.

Requirements
  • Five years' experience as an electrician or equivalent
  • Experience in commercial or industrial electrical and building services
  • Supervisory experience
  • Full driving license, preferably with D1
  • C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations
  • 17th or 18th Edition
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and people skills
