Role overview:

As part of the store’s Junior Management team, you will provide managerial support and help maintain and improve customer service levels throughout your section. You will assist in supervising staff and ensuring shop floor standards are met. Additionally, you will handle certain managerial tasks as directed by Store Management.

Responsibilities:

As a supervisor, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering excellent customer service by resolving complaints and inquiries, ensuring staff appearance aligns with company guidelines, and understanding the customer service measurement programme.
  • Driving and exceeding sales targets by monitoring service levels, utilizing in-store devices to promote the full product range, and analyzing reports for effective product placement.
  • Maintaining high visual merchandising standards through engaging techniques, keeping stock clean and presentable, and supporting sales floor standards.
  • Training and developing staff by assisting with new employee induction, encouraging personal growth, and overseeing training assessments.

Role objectives and KPIs include:

  • Achieving or exceeding the store’s monthly sales targets.
  • Driving KPIs such as Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT.
  • Achieving upselling and cross-selling targets.
  • Maintaining a high Net Promoter Score.
  • Ensuring stock accuracy during store audits.
  • Completing mandatory training for all new colleagues.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous supervisory or Team Leader experience in a fast-paced retail or customer-facing environment.
  • Passion for retail with a good understanding of current trends and competitors.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring individuals.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and high standards on the shop floor.
  • Ability to promote JD Group values to stakeholders.
