Summary

The ED Registration Supervisor works collaboratively with management, staff and patients to optimize the patient registration, admissions, insurance eligibility and to increase patient satisfaction, support internal customers, external customers and the revenue cycle. Ensuring the efficient and effective evening operation of patient registration is a key component of the position, as well as using critical thinking and analysis to complete special projects as assigned. The supervisor supports and maintains ongoing processes and procedures that allow for the accurate, complete and timely verification of patient information, as well as, organizational mission, vision, values and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the efficient and effective evening operation of patient registration.
  • Collaborate with management, staff, patients and external stakeholders to optimize patient registration, admissions and insurance eligibility processes.
  • Support revenue cycle and increase patient satisfaction by serving internal and external customers.
  • Utilize critical thinking and analysis to complete special projects as assigned.
  • Support and maintain processes and procedures for accurate, complete and timely verification of patient information in alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Education
  • Associates Degree in Business or a related area or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Work Experience
  • Two years of Revenue Cycle experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience with healthcare or accounting software applications preferred.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or lead role highly desirable.
Required Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Effective supervisory skills.
  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Highly discreet and able to routinely handle confidential materials.

Salary Range: $47,000.00 - $75,000.00
