Job summary

The Entertainer in Nottingham (Victoria Centre) is seeking a 30-hour Supervisor to support store management, cover holidays and weekends, and drive customer service excellence. You will lead a small team, run daily operations, and implement promotions while maintaining stock integrity.

Training and development support are provided for career progression. You should be energetic, flexible, and ready to work varied hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing or supervising a small team.
• Flexible approach to working hours and commitment to resource the store effectively.
• Confidence in using computers and tablets to complete tasks and increase productivity.
• Ability to identify sales opportunities and implement new ideas.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including Sundays on a rota basis and run the store in the manager's absence.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, cash/till handling, refunds and till reconciliations.
• Lead by example with exceptional customer service and inspire the team.
• Implement in-store promotions, stay commercial, and keep staff informed.
• Participate in stock management including stockroom standards, deliveries, merchandising and reducing stock loss.

Why Us?

When you join us as a Supervisor at The Entertainer, Nottingham in the Victoria Centre you will be a key member of the store’s management team and a role model for our Sales Assistants. You will be there to support your Store Manager in the day to day running of your store, ensuring the team are focussed and performing to their full potential, and show your manager what you’re all about when running the store independently to cover days off and holidays.

You will have the opportunity to make a real difference with your colleagues too, playing an important role in coaching and motivating the team to help them achieve the best they can be in both their personal development and helping the store deliver exceptional store standards and customer service.

You will be energetic, outgoing, keen and possess a natural flair for retailing. Ideally you will live within 30-45 minutes of your store and be flexible to work the shift patterns that the store operation requires, especially during October to December. Weekend key-holder cover is also a basic requirement of this role.

As a 30hour Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Opening and closing the store, including Sundays on a rota basis and running the store successfully in the absence of the Store management
• Ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations and routines including cash and till areas, dealing with customer refunds and till reconciliations
• Lead by example, demonstrating an exceptional customer service experience, inspiring your team to do the same
• Implement in-store promotions, be commercial and ensure staff are motivated and well informed
• Actively participate in stock management including stockroom standards, managing deliveries, merchandising and minimising stock loss
