Job Details

Job Role: General Supervisor

Location: HMP Eastwood Park, Falfield, GL12 8DB

Salary: £36,066.96 per annum

Contract: Permanent – 39hrs per week – Mon‑Fri

Holidays: 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays

About the Role

As a General Supervisor you will work alongside experienced colleagues – plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners and administrators – to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the Facilities Maintenance Team.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage maintenance and repair activities for the prison environment.
• Collaborate with staff and external contractors to support safe operations.
• Maintain accurate records and reports for HM Prison Service and Ministry of Justice.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous recognised experience and supervisory skills in facilities management.
• Experience of compliance and knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.
• Relevant professional qualifications in facilities management or project management.
• Strong health & safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills.
