Job summary

Elior Hospitals is seeking a Supervisor to lead daily hospital catering operations, ensuring high-quality service for patients, staff and visitors.

You will supervise teams, uphold food safety standards and collaborate with NHS policies, while maintaining compassionate patient interactions and efficient stock control. This role is based in a hospital environment with structured shifts.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in catering, hospitality, or facilities management.
• Healthcare or NHS experience desirable but not essential.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations within your designated service area.
• Ensure high standards of service delivery, cleanliness, and food hygiene.
• Lead and support team members with training, task delegation, and shift coordination.
• Ensure compliance with NHS policies, infection prevention controls, and food safety procedures.
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback.
• Handle patient queries professionally and compassionately.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory checks.
• Collaborate with hospital and contractor teams to drive service excellence.

What you’ll be doing…

As a Supervisor in a hospital setting, you will play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of catering or hospitality services for patients, staff, and visitors.

• Supervise daily operations within your designated service area
• Ensure high standards of service delivery, cleanliness, and food hygiene are consistently maintained
• Lead and support team members with training, task delegation, and shift coordination
• Ensure compliance with NHS policies, infection prevention controls, and food safety procedures
• Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and elevate issues where needed
• Handle customer and patient queries in a professional and compassionate manner
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory checks as required
• Work closely with hospital and contractor teams to ensure service excellence and continuous improvement

Working pattern: 5 days out of 7 | 37.5 hours per week
