EQUANS is recruiting for a Supervisor based in Oldham. This is a full-time fixed-term contract of up to 12 months, working 37 hours per week. The salary offered is up to £41,000, along with a benefits package.

General Overview

The Supervisor will manage a team of operatives across all trades within the contract, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, with excellent customer care. The role involves acting as a role model and promoting the Equans culture among colleagues.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage tasks carried out by operatives, ensuring high standards and safety compliance.
  • Oversee all work at height, including scaffold inspection and management.
  • Conduct face-fit training and maintain records.
  • Record accidents, near misses, safety observations, and HIPOs on AIMS.
  • Conduct regular toolbox talks and record attendance.
  • Manage absence and update HR systems accordingly.
  • Carry out investigations and prepare reports following disciplinary policies.
  • Ensure teams have necessary tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Monitor team productivity, hold meetings, and implement performance improvements.
  • Perform inspections and record findings.
  • Hold one-on-one and PDR meetings with team members.
  • Ensure mandatory training is completed and support ongoing training.
  • Assist in recruitment, including interviews, inductions, and equipment ordering.
  • Manage annual leave to maintain workforce stability.
  • Support complaint management and manage subcontractors as needed.
  • Support ECO rota coverage and perform other management tasks.
