Job summary

United Infrastructure in London seeks experienced Supervisors to oversee social housing cyclical works across Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Lambeth and greater London. You will supervise jobs from start to finish, ensure client specifications are met, review progress and liaise with Commercial Support to capture costs and maintain safety standards.

The role requires site management qualifications (or proven experience), SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid and asbestos awareness.

Qualifications

• Supervision of multiple trades and ensuring works meet client specs.
• Ability to manage costs and coordinate with commercial teams.
• Strong health and safety focus with experience of site safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site works from start to finish and liaise with clients and residents.
• Review daily dashboards and coordinate workflow with the supply chain.
• Conduct safety inspections and create/update H&S files.
• Attend client meetings as required by the Project Manager.

Job Description

We are looking for an number of experienced Supervisors to join our existing teams on a number of Social Housing Cyclical work projects across Southwark Tower Hamlets Lambeth Greater London.

• To be responsible for the Supervision and overseeing the direction of all jobs, from commencement to completion; ensuring that the Clients specification and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with Commercial Support to ensure all costs captured and ensure all works are carried out safely.
• Attend Validation Inspections to scope up works based on Clients Specification
• Ensure daily review of Total Mobile Dashboard to manage job workflow; respond to Client questions and queries within a timely manner; and ensure all notes pertaining to each job have been recorded on TM accurately.
• Liaising with Admin and Commercial staff; the Client when required, and sometimes the Resident or members of the public
• Report to the Project Manager when required regarding WIP and completions.
• Coordinate and supervise supply chain to ensure timely start and completion dates and ensure these are updated onto Total Mobile.
• Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety.
• Create a Health and Safety File for each job ensuring all documentation is reviewed and amended PRIOR to each job commencement.
• Attend Post Inspection for every job to ensure snags are completed and quality is at the standard expected.
• Checking job specifications, designs and drawings to ensure compliance on site.
• Anticipating problems and finding way to prevent problems from happening and to solve any that crop up.
• Assessing and minimising risk by ensuring all H&S policies and procedures and implemented and adhered to
• Maintaining Quality Control of supply chain
• Attend occasional Client meetings, at Project Managers request.
• Experience within a similar role

Knowledge and experience of Cyclical Workstream

• Strong experience of working within a fast moving environment delivering a high quality and robust delivery service
• Experience of working with supply chain delivery model
• Able to demonstrate commercial acumen
• Experience of site health and safety good practice
• Experience of working within a customer facing environment
• Knowledge and understanding of working within financial
• regulations; data protection; freedom of information and waste management
• Proficient in the use of Total Mobile and Microsoft office applications (outlook; excel and word)
• Able to demonstrate an awareness and understanding of equality issues
• Able to read and understand instructions, technical reports and designs, and follow company procedures
• Ability to work without direct supervision dealing with emergencies and difficult situations in a calm and effective manner; be well organised and prioritise own workload
• Able to develop and present written information in a clear and concise manner
