Job summary

Six by Nico is seeking an enthusiastic Supervisor to join the Merchant City team in Glasgow. You will lead front of house with confidence, ensuring professional and informative service in a busy, high-end setting.

Key duties include coaching new staff, delivering drinks and meals to the floor, and collaborating with management to uphold service standards while representing the Six by Nico culture across a vibrant hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in a similar role.
• Ability to motivate people and hold employees accountable.
• Be confident in a busy, high-end environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain skills and product knowledge.
• Train and guide new team members as a role model.
• Serve drinks and food in line with service standards and timings.
• Work with management to ensure quality customer service and supervise a diverse team.
• Maintain knowledge of current menus.
• Support the head waiter/waitress in delivering excellent service.
• Assist kitchen team by delivering food with descriptions.
• Demonstrate strong decision‑making abilities.
• Promote Six by Nico culture and values.
• Handle key holder responsibilities.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Supervisor to join the team at Six by Nico Merchant City.

The role

Our front of house team plays a fundamental role in delivering a professional and informative service in a fun and exciting atmosphere; we are looking for someone who is confident and bursting with personality.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining skills and product knowledge,
• Supporting, training and acting as a role model to new members of the team
• Service of all drink and food orders in the public bars according to the Cycle of Service standards and timings
• Work closely with management team to ensure quality customer service and supervise a team with diverse talents and responsibilities
• Maintaining skills and product knowledge on current menus
• Assisting head waiter/waitress on providing excellent customer service.
• Assisting the kitchen team by delivering food to customers with food & wine descriptions
• Strong decision-making capabilities
• Drive the Six by Nico culture
• Key holder responsibilities.
• Available to work evenings and weekends

Preferred Requirements

• At least 1-2 years previous experience in in a similar role
• Ability to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountable
• Be confident in a busy, high end environment.
