Job description

A Supervisor is needed for a local and very aspiring manufacturing company based in Dewsbury. The Supervisor position is permanent and a perfect opportunity for someone to develop their career.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

Delivery

• To ensure productivity, schedule adherence, and customer service requirements are met
• Complete Ownership for all inventory
• Ensuring that all loads are dispatched efficiently on time
• Ensuring the effective communication for production area
• Actively drive through continuous improvement

People Management

• Ensure that every Team member is there on time for shift changeovers and breaks
• Process staff timesheets
• Ensure all operatives are working to correct procedures and production levels

Quality

• Ensure the completion of all PI counts and stock takes are completed accurately and on time
• Ensure all operatives are trained to the appropriate standard and understand their impact on inventory accuracy

Safety and General

• Create and maintain a culture of behaviour-based safety
• Ensure staff are working safely according to health and safety requirements and standards
• Accountable for the safe systems of work and adequate training
• Address all Health and Safety & COSHH issues specific to each area through effective audits and risk assessments

Person Specification:

• Good manufacturing management experience, demonstrating significant results through lean principles implementation and usage
• Comprehensive knowledge of production planning and manning requirements
• Either ILM Level 3 Certified or willing to undertake training
• PC literate and numerically competent
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Energetic and enthusiastic
• Adaptable to change
• Self-motivated
