Job summary

Gov Facilities Services Limited (GFSL) is hiring an Electrical Supervisor for HMP Leyhill in Wotton-Under-Edge. The role supervises a team of electricians and support staff, ensuring safe, reliable electrical services across the site.

The successful candidate will have extensive electrical installation experience, supervisory skills, and appropriate qualifications (C&G 2367/2357, NVQ3, BS7671, 18th Edition). A full driving licence is preferred. 39-hour week, Monday to Friday, permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience as an electrician or equivalent.
• Experience supervising staff.
• C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
• Certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations.
• 18th Edition.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.

Location: HMP Leyhill, Tortworth Rd, Wotton-Under-Edge. GL12 8BT

Salary: £48,412.56 per annum

Contract: Permanent - 39hrs per week - Mon-Fri

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Leyhill, a category D, adult male prison.

Requirements

• Five years' experience as an electrician or equivalent
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical, building services
• Experience of supervising staffFull driving license preferably with D1
• C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
• Certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations

Future Plans.

GFSL has been notified by it's shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM Services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
