Job description

Part-time role | Career Progression Opportunities in Year 1 | Approachable Senior Management | Flexi Working

Are you an experienced social worker looking to transition into Fostering, but finding opportunities are limited in your current role?

We are currently working with an Outstanding-rated Independent Fostering Agency (IFA) based in Nottingham, seeking an experienced practitioner to join their established service as a Supervising Social Worker on a part-time basis (22.5 hours).

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will support and manage approved foster carers, assess special guardians, and ensure support plans are in place. You will collaborate with children’s social workers to achieve permanence, either through long-term fostering or special guardianship.

Benefits include a competitive salary of up to £40,000 (pro-rata), a hybrid working pattern, and flexible working arrangements such as condensed hours and 9-day fortnights to support work-life balance.

This IFA boasts excellent staff retention, with vacancies being rare. They focus on professional development, with two members of the senior management team being homegrown. You will also be enrolled in a Learning & Development programme immediately, preparing you for career progression within the first 12 months if desired.

Requirements for this role include a social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
