Job summary

Five Rivers Child Care Ltd is seeking a Supervising Social Worker for the Midlands Region to support foster carers across South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. You will supervise, assess, and support families to ensure the welfare and safeguarding of children in care.

The role offers a flexible hybrid arrangement with home visits, office days in Chesterfield, and opportunities for professional development within a collaborative, trauma-informed service.

Qualifications

• Social Work qualification and SW England registration.
• Experience in fostering or children's services.
• Ability to drive and have access to a vehicle for business use.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, guidance and support to foster carers.
• Undertake foster carer assessments, reviews and monitoring visits.
• Contribute to foster carer recruitment and assessment activity (Form F).
• Participate in foster carer training and support groups.
• Ensure safeguarding standards and regulatory requirements are met.
• Collaborate with internal and external professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children.
