Make a Real Difference: Experienced Fostering Supervising Social Worker (Midlands)
We're seeking a passionate and experienced full-time Fostering Supervising Social Worker to cover the Midlands and play a vital role in empowering foster carers.
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be the cornerstone of support for foster families, enabling them to provide therapeutically informed care to children and young people. You'll be responsible for assessment, ongoing support, recruitment, training, and approval of foster carers within your designated region. By utilizing the Secure Base Model and collaborating with Therapeutic Services, you'll directly contribute to the healing and well-being of young people who have experienced trauma.

This position is based at Dunston, with the possibility of some home working with prior agreement. Flexibility is key, as the role requires some weekend and unsocial hours to effectively support foster carers, deliver training, and be there for children and young people. You will also participate in our out-of-hours first response rota, backed by on-call management support.
We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds a full UK Driving Licence
  • Is a qualified and registered Social Worker with Social Care England
  • Will undergo an enhanced DBS check upon appointment
